The 2009 Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction, set for Sunday, September 27, has been moved indoors. Threats of rain have forced Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS to relocate the event for the first time from the streets around Shubert Alley to Roseland Ballroom at 239 West 52nd Street. The event will remain free and open to the public.
The Broadway Flea Market opens at 10AM and will stay open until 7PM. The Grand Auction, presided over by Mad Men star Bryan Batt and auctioneer Lorna Kelly will start at 5PM.
Now in its 23rd year, the Broadway Flea Market is a great source for photos, cast recordings, signed show poster, costume sketches and theater-related gifts. At the Celebrity Autograph Table, stars from Broadway, off-Broadway and soaps sign autographs and pose for photos in exchange for donations to BC/EFA.
