Pamela Anderson, best known for her top-heavy performance as lifeguard babe CJ Parker on Baywatch, will be hitting the London stage--and just in time for the holidays! BBC News reports the bombshell will guest star as The Genie of the Lamp for two weeks in a pantomime production of Aladdin at London's New Wimbledon Theatre. Anderson will appear December 13 through December 27; talk show host Paul O'Grady replaces the actress as The Genie for the final week of the show.
Aladdin will mark Anderson's theatrical debut. In addition to Baywatch, her numerous TV and film credits include V.I.P., Stripperella, Blonde and Blonder and Stacked, which co-starred Tony Award winner Marissa Jaret Winokur.
Pantomime, also known as panto, is particularly popular abroad. Not to be confused with mime, pantomime is variation on musical-comedy typically performed during the holiday season. The artform, still doing brisk sales even amid economic lulls in the UK, has long attracted Hollywood talent. Henry Winkler, Mickey Rooney and even Sir Ian McKellen have all taken the panto stage in recent years.
