The full cast has been announced for Menier Chocolate Factory’s upcoming production of Sweet Charity, starring Tamzin Outhwaite and directed by Matthew White and choreography by Stephen Mear. The musical will begin previews on November 21, with opening night set for December 2.
Joining Outhwaite and previously announced cast members Josefina Gabrielle, Tiffany Graves, Paul J. Medford, Ebony Molina and Mark Umbers will be Rachael Archer, Jack Edwards, Richard Jones, Gemma Maclean, Zak Nemorin, Richard Roe, Annalisa Rossi, Carl Sanderson, Jez Unwin and Jayde Westaby.
Sweet Charity follows the misadventures of love encountered by the gullible and guileless Charity Hope Valentine, a woman who always gives her heart and her dreams to the wrong man.
With a book by Neil Simon, music by Cy Coleman and lyrics by Dorothy Fields, the show includes such hits as “Hey, Big Spender,” “If My Friends Could See Me Now” and “The Rhythm of Life.” The Menier production will featureset design by Tim Shortall, costume design by Matthew Wright, musical supervision and direction by Nigel Lilley, orchestrations by Chris Walker, lighting by David Howe and sound design by Gareth Owen.
The limited London engagement will play through March 7, 2010.
