Get ready to squeal with glee, Spring Awakening fans. Jonathan Groff, who was nominated for a 2007 Tony Award for his performance in the Tony-winning musical, is joining his former co-star Lea Michele in the hit Fox series Glee, according to EW.com.
The actor, who might serve as a love interest for Michele's character Rachel Berry, will appear in five or six episodes as a part of rival glee club, Vocal Adrenaline. The group has previously performed the songs “Rehab” and “Mercy” on the hour-long musical teen drama. “He is a male diva,” Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy joked to EW about Groff, “a miva.”

In addition to Spring Awakening, he appeared in two Craig Lucas plays (The Singing Forest and Prayer for My Enemy), starred as Claude in the Shakespeare in the Park revival of Hair and was featured in Ang Lee's recent film Taking Woodstock.
