The Full Monty is returning to the West End. David Yazbek and Terrence McNally’s musical version of the 1997 comedic film of the same name will have a limited engagement at London’s New Players Theatre beginning on December 2. The new production, directed by Thom Southerland, will open on December 3 and run through January 2.
The show tells the story of a father, who needs to raise some quick cash to maintain custody of his son. He hatches a plan with an unlikely group of lovable misfits who have all of Buffalo wondering—can they really pull it off?
The musical, directed by Jack O’Brien, premiered at San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre before transferring to Broadway's Eugene O'Neill Theatre, where is played from October 26, 2000 to September 1, 2002.
This production will play Catford’s Broadway Studio (in southeast London) from November 4 to November 29 before transferring to the West End. The production features choreography by Chadd Garvie, design by Phillipa Mumford, lighting by Kath O’Sullivan and musical direction by Magnus Gilljam. No casting has been announced.
