New musical Fela !, about the extraordinary life of Afrobeat musician Fela Anikulapo Kuti and his reign as both an African rock star and activist, finally landed on Broadway on November 23, following its acclaimed off-Broadway run in 2008 and weeks of recent media headlines, which included the news that celebs Jay-Z and Will and Jada Pinkett Smith were jumping on board as producers.
