Want Memphis to live in you…literally? The southern-flavored musical was just honored by Two Boots Pizza in Hell's Kitchen with a Memphis-inspired pie called “Huey’s Bad Boy.”
The name is based on the show’s central character, Huey Calhoun, the white DJ whose love of good music transcends race lines and airwaves. “Huey’s Bad Boy” boasts the one thing that all Southerners have in common: barbecue. It features pulled pork, red onions, Dancing Pig BBQ sauce (shipped straight from Memphis, Tennessee, of course) and is topped with homemade coleslaw. Hockadoo, it’s good!
The cast of the rollicking show got a taste of the new treat on January 27 in between their matinee and evening performances at Broadway’s Shubert Theatre. What a way to keep your energy up!
