Next to Normal stars Alice Ripley and J. Robert Spencer, Rock of Ages' Constantine Maroulis, Grammy winner Larry Gatlin and more will lend their voices to the Rockers on Broadway: Rocks to Rebuild benefit. The all-star showwill take place at B.B. King's Blues Club on March 1.
All of the concert's proceeds will be donated to UNICEF and Save the Children, organizations working to provide safe havens for thousands of children left homeless by the Haitian earthquake. The concert will be presented by B.B. King Blues Club and The Path Fund.
In addition to Ripley, Spencer, Maroulis and Gatlin, the evening will also feature singer/songwriter Kate Taylor, special guest Vincent Pastore (known for his work on The Sopranos) and Gene Cornish & The Guitar Club for men. Additional performers include Tituss Burgess, Ben Cameron, Ta'rea Campbell, John Arthur Greene, Emma Hunton, Sean Jenness, Adam Kantor, Donnie Kehr, Lauren Kennedy, Michelle Kinney, Michael Lanning, Gerry McIntyre, Sarah Schmidt, Jeremy Schonfeld, Matt Stocke and Clarke Thorell.
Rockers On Broadway was founded during the original run of The Who's Tommy in 1993. Since then, the organization has brought together dozens of Broadway performers to raise money for charities including Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the Broadway Dreams Foundation, Wingspan Arts Inc. and more.
