MCC’s Miscast 2010 Misbehaves with Starry Gala

We love a good gala—but we love them even more when they’re chock full of Broadway stars hamming it up for our enjoyment. MCC’s annual Miscast benefit is a perfect example of such an evening, and the 2010 installment, held on March 1 at the Hammerstein Ballroom, was no exception. An evening of stars singing roles in which they’d never be cast (Wicked veteran Nicole Parker rocking  “I’m Alive” from Next to Normal, for example), the night showcased the vocal and comedic talents of a starry lineup, including Raul Esparza, Sutton Foster, Marin Mazzie, Aaron Tveit, Mo Rocca and many more. The evening also celebrated The Good Wife star and longtime MCC Theater board member Julianna Margulies for her contributions to one of off-Broadway’s best known institutions.
