Dance show Tap Dogs will return to London this summer, beginning a limited engagement at the Novello Theatre on June 15. The show, created and choreographed by Olivier Award winner Dein Perry with direction by Nigel Triffitt, will play for 12 weeks through September 5, 2010.
A London favorite during its original run in 1995 and again during a return engagement at Sadler's Wells in 2001, Tap Dogs stars TV's Got to Dance judge Adam Garcia, Douglas Mills, Matthew Papa, Richie Miller, Donovan Helma, Jesse Rasmussen and Jason Lewis. The Australian show, which had its world premiere at the Sydney Theatre Festival in 1995, is described as an edgy, high-energy presentation of nonstop tap dance routines of varying style.
Tap Dogs will be designed by Triffitt and feature music by Andrew Wilkie and lighting by Gavin Norris. The new production will be staged by the entire original creative team and will be produced by Liz Koops for Back Row Productions.
