Glory Days, the 2008 rock musical that famously ran for just one performance at the Circle in the Square Theatre, is finding life after Broadway. On the heels of the release of the show’s original cast recording, the musical is now set for a run in Massachusetts produced by the F.U.D.G.E. Theatre Company.
Written by James Gardiner (book) and Nick Blaemire (music and lyrics), Glory Days tells the story of four friends who reunite one year after high school graduation. After a successful run at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, Virginia, the musical quickly moved to the Circle in the Square Theatre, where it opened and closed on May 6, 2008.
Directed by F.U.D.G.E. founder and artistic director Joe DeMita, Glory Days will star Trevor Efinger, Samuel Moscoso, Ronny Pompeo and Todd Sandstrom. It will play at the Arsenal Center for the Arts in Watertown, Massachusetts from April 30, 2010 through May 8, 2010.
The goal of F.U.D.G.E. (which stands for Friends United Developing Genuine Entertainment) is to provide “quality and affordable theater productions to the people of the greater Boston area.” For more information, visit their website.
