On Opening Night, a Cool Cast Takes a Dip in the Barren Saharan Crick

Water, water everywhere, and playwright Kia Corthron examines the political and personal ramifications of who’s got plenty of H2O (and who doesn’t) in her new play A Cool Dip in the Barren Saharan Crick. Centering on a preacher-in-training who arrives in America from Africa, the drama opened on March 28 at Playwrights Horizons and, as usual, the company celebrated after the show at West Bank Café.
