Pamela Anderson, who made her London stage debut last year in the pantomime Aladdin, will return to the show for the 2010 holiday season. BBC News reports that the bombshell will once again play the Genie of the Lamp for a run of the show at the Liverpool Empire Theatre in Liverpool.
"I am very excited about spending some time in Liverpool, a city I have never visited before," Anderson told the BBC.
Anderson, who was recently seen on Dancing with the Stars, is best known for her top-heavy performance as lifeguard babe CJ Parker on Baywatch. In addition to Baywatch, her numerous TV and film credits include V.I.P., Stripperella, Blonde and Blonder and Stacked, which co-starred Tony Award winner Marissa Jaret Winokur.
Pantomime, also known as panto, is particularly popular abroad. Not to be confused with mime, pantomime is variation on musical-comedy typically performed during the holiday season. The artform, still doing brisk sales even amid economic lulls in the UK, has long attracted Hollywood talent. Henry Winkler, Mickey Rooney and even Sir Ian McKellen have all taken the panto stage in recent years. Aladdin will run from December 10, 2010 to January 2, 2011.
