Arthur Conan Doyle's famed detective Sherlock Holmes will take his investigative skills to the West End when The Secret of Sherlock Holmes opens at the Duchess Theatre on July 20, according to Whatsonstage.com. The play will star Peter Egan as the title character and Robert Daws as Holmes’ loyal companion Dr. Watson. Robin Herford (The Woman in Black) will direct the show adapted by Jeremy Paul.
Egan is well known for his role in the British TV series Ever Decreasing Circles and appeared on the West End in Art and Noises Off. Daws appeared on TV’s The Royal and onstage in Public Property.
