Kelli Barrett, Nick Blaemire, Michael Park, Celina Carvajal and Merle Dandridge will head the cast of the Williamstown Theatre Festival's The Last Goodbye, a musical adaptation of Romeo and Juliet featuring the music of the late Jeff Buckley. Conceived, adapted and directed by Michael Kimmel, the show will run from August 5 through 20 on the Nikos Stage.
Barrett recently performed on Broadway in The Royal Family, while Blaemire composed the show Glory Days and appeared in Cry-Baby. Park, who won a 2010 Daytime Emmy for As the World Turns, has appeared onstage in The Burnt Part Boys and Little Me. Carvajal and Dandridge appeared together in Tarzan.
The cast also features musician Damon Daunno, Tom Hennes (Freedom Train), Max Jenkins (Hair), Jo Lampert (The Daughters), Jesse Lenat (Once Around the Sun), Deb Lyons (Smokey Joe's Cafe), Grace McLean (Twelfth Night), Ashley Robinson (Giant), and Chloe Webb (Forbidden Broadway).
The Last Goodbye will feature music direction, arrangements and orchestrations by Kris Kukul and choreography by Sonya Tayeh.
