Rupert Grint, best known for playing Harry Potter’s loyal best friend Ron Weasley in the popular films, has no plans to disrobe for the theater. Though the British film actor states that he would love to branch out and act on the West End, he plans to do so fully clothed.
“I would love to do theater, but I refuse to get my kit off,” Grint said in an interview with the U.K.'s Daily Telegraph. “I would do anything before doing that.”
Grint has appeared as Ron in each of the hugely successful Harry Potter films from the time he was twelve years old. The final installment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, begins its two-part release this November. His other film credits include Thunderpants, Driving Lessons, Cherrybomb and Wild Target.
Grint probably felt the need to specify his stance on stage nudity because of his Harry Potter co-star Daniel Radcliffe's stint in the West End and Broadway productions of Equus, a play that required the young actor to reveal all. Radcliffe will return to Broadway this spring season in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, where he will likely keep his clothes on.
