Confirming speculation that began at the Emmy Awards in August, Lost alum Matthew Fox will make his West End debut opposite British stage and screen actress Olivia Williams in the world premiere production of Neil LaBute’s In a Forest, Dark and Deep, according to Variety. The play will begin performances on March 3, 2010 at London's Vaudeville Theatre, and open on March 14 for a limited engagement of 12 weeks, directed by the playwright.
LaBute’s new play is described as a psychological thriller about sibling rivalry. The London premiere comes in a busy season for playwright with the current off-Broadway premiere of The Break of Noon and the forthcoming Broadway premiere of Fat Pig.
Fox is famous for his portrayal of Jack Shephard on Lost, for which he was nominated for a Best Actor Emmy Award. The film and TV star, whose credits include Party of Five, Wings and Vantage Point, graduated from the Atlantic Theater Company’s acting program.
Williams began her career with the Royal Shakespeare Company and toured the U.S. in Ian McKellen’s acclaimed production of Richard III. Her many films include An Education, The Ghost Writer, The Sixth Sense and Rushmore.
