Mark Linn-Baker, Patricia O'Connell, Katherine Borowitz, Jason Kravits and Richard Libertini have joined the Broadway cast of Relatively Speaking. The production, which is comprised of three one-act comedies from Ethan Coen, Elaine May and Woody Allen, begins performances September 20 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. Directed by John Turturro, the show's opening night is set for October 20.
As previously announced, the cast will also include Caroline Aaron, Bill Army, Lisa Emery, Ari Graynor, Steve Guttenberg, Danny Hoch, Julie Kavner, Fred Melamed, Grant Shaud and Marlo Thomas.
Talk Therapy, Coen's play about the insanity caused by family, will feature Borowitz, Kravits, Hoch and Melamed. George Is Dead, May's comedic exploration of death, will star Emery, Melamed, O'Connell, Shaud and Thomas. Woody Allen's Honeymoon Motel, which takes place on the day of an unforgettable wedding, will feature Guttenberg, Graynor, Aaron, Baker, Libertini, Army and Shaud.
Baker has appeared on Broadway in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, A Year With Frog and Toad and Losing Louis. O'Connell's credits include The New York Idea, The Cripple of Inishmaan, The O'Neill Plays and Coastal Disturbances. Libertini's Broadway credits inlcude Sly Fox, Bad Habits, Ovid's Metamorphoses, Paul Sills' Story Theatre and Don't Drink the Water. Kravits has appeared on Broadway in The Drowsy Chaperone and Sly Fox. Borowitz's credits include Hedda Gabler, As You Like It and Arcadia.
The production will feature scenic design by Santo Loquasto, costume design by Donna Zakowska, lighting design by Kenneth Posner and sound design by Carl Casella.
