Tom Goodman-Hill and Anthony Calf are joining the previously announced Thandie Newton in the West End revival of Ariel Dorfman's Death and the Maiden. Directed by Jeremy Herrin, the production is set to open October 13 at the Comedy Theatre. Goodman-Hill will take on the role Paulina Salas' (Newton) husband, Gerado, with Calf playing Dr. Roberto Miranda.
The play follows Paulina Salas, a political prisoner who never saw the face of her captor, but clearly remembered his voice and mannerisms. Years after her release, she acts as judge and jury to a man she believes to have been her oppressor.
Goodman-Hill earned an Olivier Award nomination for Spamalot. His other West End credits include Enron and An Inspector Calls. Calf has appeared in Les Parents Terribles, The Deep Blue Sea, Rock 'n Roll, The White Guard and The Power of Yes.
