Aaron Sidwell will star in Loserville, a new musical set to play the West End's Garrick Theatre. Featuring a score by Elliot Davis and James Bourne, the musical begins pefromances October 1, with opening night to follow on October 17. Steven Dexter will direct.
Set in 1971, Loserville follows computer geek Michael Dork (Aaron Sidwell) and his odd friends Lucas (Richard Lowe), Marvin (Daniel Buckley) and Francis (Lil' Chris). Michael's dreams all seem to finally be coming true as a beautiful and smart new girl in town, Holly (Eliza Hope Bennett), takes notice of him. However, when rich kid Eddie (Stewart Clarke) discovers a dark secret of Holly's, he ditches his current girlfriend Leia (Charlotte Harwood) and sets out to ruin Michael's dreams. The show recently ran at the West Yorkshire Playhouse earlier this summer.
The cast also includes Sophie Ayers, Laura Bennett, Robbie Boyle, Matthew Bradley, Olly Buxton, Andrew Carthy, Freya Field, Daniel Hall, Lauren Hall, Ollie Hannifan, Dan Kirkler, Duncan Leighton, Ashley Luke Lloyd, Megan Louch, Andy Shaw, Sarah Watson and Witney White.
Loserville will feature choreography by Nick Winston, set design by Francis O'Connor, costume design by O'Connor and Stephen Snell, lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Simon Baker, orchestrations and vocal arrangements by Martin Lowe, Davis and Bourne, musical supervision by Lowe and musical direction by Jim Henson.
