Wicked Veteran Kerry Ellis & Queen's Brian May Team Up for Candlelight Concert Tour

Broadway.com Audience Award winner Kerry Ellis and Queen guitarist Brian May will reunite onstage for the Born Free tour, a series of acoustic shows performed by candlelight. The tour will begin November 5 at The Apex in Bury St. Edmunds. The evenings will feature the pair performing a collection of their personal favorite songs, as well as new arrangements of songs they have previously performed in concert together.

Ellis and May previously appeared together on their Anthems tour. Their collaboration began when Ellis starred in We Will Rock You, the West End musical composed entirely of music from Queen.

Ellis appeared as Elphaba in Wicked on both Broadway and the West End. May is an original founder of the iconic rock band, and his contributions as a guitarist and songwriter have helped the band sell over 100 million albums worldwide.

The concerts are being performed to raise awareness of the work of the Born Free Foundation, a global organization that protects threatened species.
