Through the Yellow Hour, a chilling new drama by Adam Rapp, has extended through November 10 at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater. Starring Hani Furstenberg, the production was originally scheduled to run through October 28. Directed by Rapp, Through the Yellow Hour opened on September 27.
Through the Yellow Hour stars Furstenberg as Ellen, Brian Mendes as Dead Man on Floor, Matt Pilieci as Doctor Joseph, Danielle Slavick as Maude, Alok Tweari as Hakim, Joanne Tucker as Claire and Vladimir Versailles as Darius. The play tells the story of Ellen (Furstenberg), who has spent 52 days hiding out in a post-apocalyptic United States, hoping for her husband to return. As men are being castrated, women are enumerated and Ellen’s world falls further into senseless chaos, Ellen makes an unlikely decision that could signal a new beginning.
The Through the Yellow Hour creative team includes scenic designer Andromache Chalfant, costume designer Jessica Pabst, lighting designer Keith Parham and sound designer Christian Frederickson.
