The CBS drama Made In Jersey is the first official casualty of the new TV season, according to Deadline.com. The series, which featured Tony winner Donna Murphy as the mother of the show's lead character (played by Janet Montgomery), was canceled as a result of disappointing ratings for the first two episodes that aired.
The show followed a hometown Jersey girl (Montgomery) who lands a job working as a lawyer for a prestigious New York law firm.
This is without a doubt sad news for Murphy and the cast and crew of the show, though we can’t help but notice that now she is available should the Shakespeare in the Park production of Into the Woods make a move to Broadway.
