The Assembled Parties' Jessica Hecht and Jeremy Shamos to Host Obie Awards

The Assembled Parties co-stars Jessica Hecht and Jeremy Shamos will host the 58th Annual Obie Awards on May 20 at Webster Hall. Lois Smith and Francis Sternhagen will be presented with the Obie's Lifetime Achievement Awards by Meryl Streep.

Scheduled to present awards are Bobby Cannavale, Maggie Grace, Judith Light, Aasif Mandvi, Krysta Rodriguez, Duncan Shiek and Courntey B. Vance. 

Unlike most awards, the Obies are not chosen from a list of nominees or presented in rigid categories. Winners are chosen by a panel of judges, which this year consists of Michael Feingold, Voice critic Alexis Soloski, playwright Erin Courtney, producer Mia Katigbak, Theater magazine editor Tom Sellar and director Leigh Silverman.
