Viola Davis Says Murder Returning for Season Two
Two-time Tony winner Viola Davis has revealed on her Facebook page that she is staying in Shondaland—How to Get Away With Murder is coming back for a second season! Unlike the series, the news isn’t all that shocking—the ABC show has garnered big ratings. Incidentally, fellow Tony winner Marcia Gay Harden made her debut in Murder last night, but we will refrain from revealing more incase you haven’t yet caught up on your DVR. You're welcome. Glenn Close is Jonathan Pryce's Wife
We’re loving the sound of this film! A Delicate Balance’s Glenn Close will be joined by two-time Tony winner Jonathan Pryce, Tony winner Frances McDormand, Broadway alum Christian Slater and more in The Wife. The Wrap reports that three-time Tony winner Close will play a wife who leaves her husband, played by Pryce, just before he wins the Nobel Prize for literature. Helmed by Björn Runge, the movie, with a script by Jane Anderson adapted from Meg Wolitzer’s book of the same name, will start shooting this fall.
Emma Stone Set for Another Woody Allen Film
Emma Stone, currently having a perfectly marvelous time in the Great White Way’s Cabaret, has been tapped by Bullets Over Broadway’s Woody Allen for his next film. Irrational Man will be the second collaboration for the pair—Stone headlined his Magic in the Moonlight last year. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the latest project will also star Joaquin Phoenix and Broadway alum Parker Posey.
