Russell Tovey & Olivier Winner Denise Gough Join Andrew Garfield for National Theatre's Angels in America

Russell Tovey, who appeared on Broadway this season in A View from the Bridge, and recent Olivier winner Denise Gough will star opposite the previously reported Andrew Garfield in the National Theatre’s Angels in America. According to the Daily Mail, Tovey will take on the role of Joe Pitt, while Gough is set to play his wife Harper. The London production, directed by Marianne Elliott, will begin performances in May 2017.

Prior to A View from the Bridge, Tovey appeared on Broadway in The History Boys, reprising his performance from the original production in London. His additional stage credits include Howard Katz, Henry V, His Girl Friday and His Dark Materials. Tovey will appear in HBO’s upcoming feature-length finale of Looking.

Gough took home the Olivier earlier this month for her performance in People, Places and Things. Her additional credits include Desire Under the Elms, Our New Girl and The Duchess of Malfi on stage and Jimmy’s Hall and Complicit on screen.
