David Hyde Pierce, Danielle Brooks, Ayo Edebiri and Jin Ha will lead the Encores! production of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, directed by Sam Pinkleton. The show will run at New York City Center from February 3–14, 2027. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
Pierce, an Emmy Award winner for Frasier with Broadway turns in Hello, Dolly! and Pirates! The Penzance Musical, will play Charlie Brown. Brooks, who will play Lucy, earned a Tony nomination for her performance in the 2015 revival of The Color Purple as well as an Oscar nomination for the 2023 film adaptation. Edebiri and Ha will play Snoopy and Linus, respectively; joining the production after starring in Proof on Broadway. Ha's previous Broadway credits include M. Butterfly and Hamilton.
The 1967 musical features music, lyrics and book by Clark Gesner, based on the beloved Peanuts comic strip by Charles M. Schulz. Choreography for the Encores! production is by Sunny Min-Sook Hitt and music direction by Meghann Zervoulis Bate.
