The fall season is beginning to light up the marquees of Broadway, and instead of a splashy musical, it’s a classic play shining brightest. The revival of The Front Page began previews on September 20, and with just six shows under its belt, the starry production is poised to remain at the top for weeks to come, bringing in $921,998. Expect it to join the Millionaire’s Club once it reaches a full week of performances. Boasting a roster of Nathan Lane, Jefferson Mays, John Goodman, John Slattery, Holland Taylor, Sherie Rene Scott and more, The Front Page opens officially on October 20. Other productions new to the Great White Way, including The Cherry Orchard and The Encounter, have proven slower to warm up, but that could change following reviews and with increasing word-of-mouth.
