Assassins star Mario Cantone will bring his solo show Laugh Whore to the Cort Theatre this fall. An opening is set for October 17, a production spokesperson confirmed to Broadway.com.
Cantone first premiered the show, under the working title of An Evening With Mario Cantone, at the American Airlines Theatre last summer. The production, directed by Joe Mantello, and features original music by Jerry Dixon and lyrics by Dixon, Cantone and Harold Lubin.
"It's a lot of stuff that I have been developing at Caroline's [the comedy club] over the past 10 years," the comedian told Broadway.com. "It's everything that I like to talk about. It is going to be just me raging on and on for two hours."
