Tony-nominated actor Kevin Anderson has joined the cast of the upcoming Broadway musical Brooklyn. He will appear alongside Eden Espinosa, David Jennings, Ramona Keller and Karen Olivo, who all appeared together in the musical's world premiere at Denver Civic Theatre in May 2003.
Anderson was nominated for a Tony Award for his work in Death of a Salesman and also appeared on the Great White Way in Orpheus Descending. His off-Broadway credits include Speaking in Tongues, The Red Address, Brilliant Traces, Moonchildren and Orphans. On the London stage, Anderson has been featured in Dinner with Friends, Sunset Boulevard and Orphans. Anderson starred in last season's short-lived Fox series Skin as a Los Angeles District Attorney fighting the porn industry.
Brooklyn centers on a young girl Espinosa whose search for the father she never knew lands her in America, in the city with the same name as her, Brooklyn. The tuner features book, music and lyrics by Mark Schoenfeld and Barri McPherson.
Brooklyn, directed by Jeff Calhoun, is scheduled to begin previews at the Plymouth Theatre on September 23 in preparation for an October 21 opening.
