Brooklyn Boy looks at the life of writer Eric Weiss Arkin, whose novel has just hit the bestseller list. Although he is suddenly famous, his personal life is unraveling. His wife is out the door, his father is in the hospital, and his aunt tells him he should have worn a tie on the Today show! Then Hollywood beckons. Is all that glitters really gold?
Brooklyn Boy, also featuring Ari Graynor and Alan Miller, is being done by Manhattan Theatre Club as a co-production with the South Coast Repertory Theater where it will run September 3 through October 10.
