Ellison & Barrowman to Join West End Chicago

Jennifer Ellison and John Barrowman will join the West End production of Chicago on September 20, replacing Rebecca Thornhill and David Hasselhoff as Roxie Hart and Billy Flynn, respectively.
Ellison, a trained ballerina, is best known for playing Emily Shadwick O'Leary for five seasons on the soap Brookside. Earlier this year, she appeared in the reality series Hell's Kitchen, winning the top prize. Ellison will appear as Meg Giry in the upcoming film version of The Phantom of the Opera. Chicago will mark her West End debut.

Barrowman is currently playing Billy Crocker in the West End production of Anything Goes, which is scheduled to close on August 28. Barrowman has amassed a substantial list of West End theatrical credits and was nominated for an Olivier Award for his work in The Fix. He appeared on the Great White Way in Putting It Together and Sunset Boulevard. Barrowman also starred in the TV series Central Park West and hosted a daily talk show on England's Channel 5.
The West End production of Chicago currently stars Thornhill, Anita Louise Combe, Hasselhoff, Paul Leonard, Zee Asha and Morgan Crawley.
