Wopat has played Flynn on the national tour of Chicago and on Broadway. He was nominated for a Best Actor in a Musical Tony Award for his performance in Annie Get Your Gun. He also appeared on the Great White Way in Guys and Dolls, City of Angels, I Love My Wife and 42nd Street. His other New York theatrical credits include A Bistro Car on the CNR, Olympus on My Mind and The Guys. Wopat, who is probably best known to television audiences for his starring role in The Dukes of Hazzard, is also a recording artist, most recently represented by 2000's well-received The Still of the Night on Angel Records.
The Broadway production of Chicago currently stars Terra C. MacLeod as Velma Kelly, Charlotte d'Amboise as Roxie Hart, Wayne Brady as Billy Flynn, P.J. Benjamin as Amos Hart and Anne L. Nathan as Matron Mama Morton. Brady will play his last performance December 4 with understudies going on until Wopat steps in.
