Heusinger will make his Broadway debut in Fiddler on the Roof. He appeared this summer in Fringical! at the New York Musical Theater Festival. His other theatrical credits include mountings of A Soldier's Play, Translations, M. de Pourceaugnac, Richard III and Orphans. He recently completed filming on his first feature, Wedding Photo, starring Alan Cumming, Ned Beatty and Lois Smith.
Fiddler on the Roof features a book by Joseph Stein, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and music by Jerry Bock. The story of the show--inspired by the stories of Sholom Aleichem--concerns Tevye and his daughters, who are yearning for something new as great changes are happening in the world outside their village of Anatevka. The score includes such songs as "If I Were a Rich Man," "Matchmaker, Matchmaker," "Sunrise, Sunset" and "To Life."
This revival of the musical, directed by David Leveaux, opened on February 26, 2004.
