Manhattan Theatre Club will present David Lindsay-Abaire's Rabbit Hole as part of its 2005-2006 season, according to a production spokesperson. Daniel Sullivan is set to direct.
No official description of Rabbit Hole has been released; however, according to The New York Times, the play centers on a young couple who must learn to deal with the death of a child.
Lindsay-Abaire's plays Fuddy Meers, Wonder of the World and Kimberly Akimbo have all been produced by MTC in past seasons. The playwright is currently at work on the books for the upcoming Shrek, Betty Boop, My Man Godfrey and High Fidelity musicals.
Rabbit Hole is the first show that MTC has announced for its 2005-2006 season. The company's next Broadway production, Elaine May's After the Night and the Music, will be part of the 2005-2006 Tony season, but it is the last entry in MTC's 2004-2005 subscription season.
