Ann Crumb, Chevi Colton, Liz Larsen, Heather MacRae, Beth Malone, Janet Metz and Patrick Ryan Sullivan will star in Bingo at St. Luke's Theatre. The tuner, directed by Thomas Caruso, is scheduled to begin off-Broadway previews on October 21.
In Bingo, the audience gets to join in the game at Hamerin County's St. Luke's Church basement, where they will meet--among others--Vern MacRae, Honey Larsen and Patsy Metz, three pals that have driven through a terrible thunderstorm in the name of their weekly obsession. In between the number calling, strange rituals and fierce competitions, love blossoms and estranged friends reunite, sending everyone home a winner. The show features a book by Michael Heitzman and Ilene Reid and lyrics and music by Heitzman, Reid and David Holcenberg.
Crumb received a Tony nomination for her performance in Anna Karenina and has also appeared on Broadway in Aspects of Love, Chess and Les Misérables. Colton's Broadway credits include Cabaret, Over Here!, Torch Song Trilogy and Roza. Larsen received a Tony nomination for her work on The Most Happy Fella and has also appeared on the Great White Way in Smell of the Kill, The Rocky Horror Show, Damn Yankees, Starmites and Fiddler on the Roof. MacRae has appeared on Broadway in Hair, Coastal Disturbances, Falsettos and Here's Where I Belong. Malone's regional credits include Babes in Arms, Guns, Sail Away, Grand Hotel and You're a Good Man Charlie Brown. Metz's Broadway credits include Fiddler on the Roof, Marie Christine, On the Town and Once Upon a Mattress. Sullivan has been featured in the Broadway musicals 42nd Street, Beauty and the Beast and Titanic.
Bingo is scheduled to officially open on November 7.
