London's Death of a Salesman Temporarily Cancels Wednesday Matinees

The West End production of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman has canceled Wednesday matinees for the next few weeks. The change of schedule will allow star Brian Dennehy to recover from a vocal problem.

This production of Death of a Salesman, directed by Robert Falls, was previously seen on Broadway and won the 1999 Best Revival of a Play Tony Award. Original Broadway cast members Dennehy, Howard Witt who received a Tony nomination for his featured work, Steve Pickering and Allen Hamilton appear in the West End production. The rest of the roles have been filled by London stage regulars, including Clare Higgins, Douglas Henshall, Mark Bazely and Abigail McKern.

Only Wednesday matinees are being canceled. Performances for the rest of the week will go on as scheduled. Wednesday matinees are expected to resume on October 26.
