Gene Farber Completes the Cast of Ariel Dorfman's The Other Side at MTC

Gene Farber will complete the cast of the Manhattan Theatre Club premiere of Ariel Dorfman's The Other Side. He joins John Cullum and Rosemary Harris in the play, which is scheduled to start performances at City Center's Stage I on November 10.

Farber recently appeared off-Broadway in The Winter's Tale at Classic Stage Company. His other off-Broadway credits include In The Absence of Spring and Romeo & Juliet. His regional credits include McCarter Theatre productions of Cheap Sunglasses and Becausehecan and Huntington Theatre Company's Dead End.

The Other Side is set near the border of two war torn countries where a man Cullum and a woman Harris await the return of their son who ran away 30 years ago. They pass their days identifying the casualties of war. When peace is established and a border guard Farber arrives laying a new border directly through the middle of their home, their bleakly predictable world unravels. Blanka Zika directs.

The Other Side will officially open on December 6.
