Lopez recently appeared on Broadway in Cruz's Anna and the Tropics. She received a Tony Award for her performance A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine. Her other Broadway credits include Nine, A Chorus Line for which she received a Tony nomination, The Sisters Rosensweig, Lysistrata, Pippin, Company, Her First Roman, Henry, Sweet Henry and Breakfast at Tiffany's. Off-Broadway credits include Class Mothers '68, Newyorkers, The Passion of Frida Kahlo, Antigone in New York, Other People's Money, Extremities, Key Exchange, Buck and Your Own Thing.
Beauty of the Father centers on a young woman who travels to Spain to visit her estranged father and quickly becomes immersed in his vibrant, artistic world. But will a charming Moroccan suitor stand in the way of their reconciliation? Lopez will play a Baquita, a woman with a strong friendship with the father in the play.
