Judy Kuhn, Philip Bosco, Marian Seldes, Michael Berresse, Marc Kudisch and Ronn Carroll will join Brian Stokes Mitchell, David Hyde Pierce and Dominic Chianese in the Actors' Fund benefit staging of A Wonderful Life, scheduled for December 12 at the Shubert Theatre. Kuhn replaces previously announced star Lauren Ambrose as Mary Bailey. Ambrose withdrew because of film commitments, according to a spokesperson.
A Wonderful Life centers on George Bailey Mitchell, a man facing financial ruin who contemplates suicide. Before he does himself in, a guardian angel named Clarence Pierce arrives to show him how important his life really is. In the Actors' Fund staging, Bosco will play Joseph, Seldes will play the mother of Kuhn's Mary, Berresse, is set to be Harry Bailey, Kudisch will portray Sam Wainwright and Carroll will play Tom.
Carl Andress will direct the Actors' Fund concert version. Tickets for the show, which begins at the Shubert at 7pm, are available by calling 212 221-7300, ext. 133. Tickets range from $75 to $1,000.
