Jena Malone to Replace Heather Goldenhersh as Sister James in Doubt

Jena Malone will make her Broadway debut as Sister James in Doubt, taking over for Tony nominee Heather Goldenhersh. Malone is set to begin performances on January 10, the same day as Eileen Atkins and Ron Eldard start in the Tony-winning drama.

Malone is best known for her film work. Her big screen credits include the latest Pride and Prejudice remake, The Ballad of Jack and Rose, Saved, United States of Leland, Cold Mountain, Corn, American Girl, The Badge, Life as a House, Donnie Darko, Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys, Cheaters, For the Love of the Game, Book of Stars, Stepmom and Contact. Her television credits include the made-for-TV movies Hope for which she received a Golden Globe nomination and Bastard Out of Carolina with Eldard.

John Patrick Shanley's Doubt, directed by Doug Hughes, currently stars Cherry Jones, Brían F. O'Byrne, Goldenhersh and Adriane Lenox. Only Lenox will be remaining with the show. The three other actors will play their final performances on January 8.
