Broadway Grosses: Only the Good Die Young

The Billy Joel/Twyla Tharp extravaganza Movin' Out, which closed on December 11, went out with a bit of a bang. Grosses in the show's last week on the boards were up by $180,944 from the week before, boosting it to a cushy $756,326 as a sweet kiss goodbye. For the week ending December 11, the musical filled the Richard Rodgers Theatre to 80.71% capacity on average. While fans of the tuner are sorry to see it leave its home city, Movin' Out is currently on tour and will be seen in the West End this spring.
