Trout Stanley is the story of the fraternal twins Grace and Sugar Ducharme McAndrew and Rolfsrud, respectively, who live in a remote cabin in Northern British Columbia. Grace is the beautiful proprietor of the local dump; Sugar is a demure agoraphobic who runs a business designing and manufacturing figurines and other homemade items from within the cabin. In the last nine years, each time the pair celebrates a birthday, there is a murder. On the occasion of their thirtieth birthday, not only does a brazen exotic dancer die, but a stranger named Trout Stanley Sulatycky also enters their lives. The happenings of the day will forever altar their fate.
