Keith David Takes Six Week Hot Feet Leave; Mel Johnson, Jr. Fills In

Keith David has left the Broadway musical Hot Feet for six weeks in order to film a role in movie. During his absence, the integral role of Victor will be played by Mel Johnson, Jr., who began performances in the tuner last night, June 13.

Johnson, Jr. is probably best known for playing Benny in the film Total Recall and Broca on the final episodes of the television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Prior to Hot Feet, he appeared on the Great White Way in On the Twentieth Century, Eubie!, The Rink, Big Deal and The Lion King.

Vivian Nixon, Ann Duquesnay, Michael Balderrama, Allen Hidalgo, Wynonna Smith and Samantha Pollino will continue to star in Hot Feet at the Hilton Theatre.
