James McMenamin will join Nathan Lane, Dana Ivey, Julian Ovenden and Pamela J. Gray in the Broadway mounting of Simon Gray's Butley. Previews are scheduled to begin at the Booth Theatre on October 5.
McMenamin New York theatrical credits include BFE at Playwrights Horizons, The Green Stalkings at Urban Stages and Joan at Endurance Theatre. His regional credits include The Threepenny Opera, The Skin of Our Teeth, Cobb, The Rose Tattoo, Electra and last season's Huntington Theatre Company mounting of The Sisters Rosensweig.
Butley is a dark comedy about the unfortunate life of a literary professor Lane who suffers the loss of his wife and his lover all in one day. Directed by Nicholas Martin, the revival will have its official Broadway opening on October 25.
