Robert R. Oliver Steps Into The Fantasticks for Six Weeks

Robert R. Oliver will play the role of Mortimer in The Fantasticks for the show's first six weeks. He is filling in for MacIntyre Dixon, who tore an Achilles tendon during the show's rehearsal period and needs the time to recuperate.

Oliver appeared in the original New York production of The Fantasticks. His other theatrical credits include Girl Crazy with Lorna Luft, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, My Fair Lady and Tony 'n' Tina's Wedding in New York.

The Fantasticks will still begin previews at the Snapple Theatre Center on July 29 and open there on August 16. Thomas Bruce, Leo Burmester, Santino Fontana, Sara Jean Ford, James Moye, Douglas Ullman, Jr. and Martin Vidnovic also appear.
