Stone, Pettie Complete Casting of Butley

Jessica Stone and Darren Pettie have joined the forthcoming Broadway revival of Simon Gray's Butley, starring Nathan Lane. Directed by Nicholas Martin, the 14-week limited run will begin previews at the Booth Theatre on October 5 and is scheduled to run through January 14. Stone and Pettie join the previously announced Julian Ovenden, Dana Ivey, Pamela Gray and James McMenamin.

Stone recently played Cecily Pigeon alongside Lane and Matthew Broderick in the Broadway revival of The Odd Couple. Other Broadway credits include Match, The Smell of the Kill, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Design for Living and Grease.

Pettie's New York credits include Splatter Pattern at Playwrights Horizons, Hobson's Choice at the Atlantic Theater, and Measure for Measure at the Public Theater.

Butley is a dark comedy about a literature professor whose world is crumbling around him. Faced with surprising news from both his wife and his lover, Butley fights for his life with his best weapon: his acid wit. Butley was mounted on Broadway in 1972 and also made into a film, both starring Alan Bates.

The forthcoming revival is scheduled to officially open on Broadway on October 25.
