Broadway Grosses: Moon Goes Out Shining; Journey Ends

The play was the thing in the week leading up to Tony night: A Moon for the Misbegotten, starring Kevin Spacey and Tony nominee Eve Best, played its final performance at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on June 10, filling the house to just below 97% and grossing more than $565,000. Journey's End also ended its Broadway run, jumping to more than 67% of capacity in its final week at the Belasco before taking home the statuette for Best Revival. Best Play Tony nominee Frost/Nixon played to a 92% house at the Jacobs, while Best Revival nominee Inherit the Wind filled the Lyceum Theatre to over 87%.
