A limited run of At Liberty, co-written by Stritch and John Lahr, played for 69 performances at Broadway's Neil Simon Theatre in 2002, directed by George C. Wolfe. It won a 2002 Tony for Best Special Theatrical Event, and a televised version later won an Emmy Award. The show mixes Stritch's reminiscences of her long theatrical career including roles in Company, The Little Foxes, Bus Stop, A Delicate Balance, Sail Away and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? with 19 songs, including numbers by her friend Noel Coward and Sondheim classics such as "The Ladies Who Lunch," "I'm Still Here" and "The Little Things You Do Together." Stritch, now 82, will perform At Liberty in its entirety.
