"This role excites me," Foster said. "It's like nothing I have done before and I am thrilled for the challenge The story is a significant part of my childhood. I loved the Frankenstein movies. I couldn't get enough of them."
"I think that it is a crazy awesome coincidence that we are both going to be in two different Frankenstein shows at the same time," the female Foster told Broadway.com from Seattle, where Young Frankenstein is playing a pre-Broadway engagement at the Paramount Theater. "I'm so happy for him and can't wait to see it!"
Hunter Foster received a Tony nomination for his performance as Seymour in the Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors. Other Broadway credits include King David, Les Miserables, Footloose, Grease and Urinetown, for which he received Outer Critics Circle and Lucille Lortel Award nominations.
Frankenstein is scheduled to open on November 1. No further casting has been announced.
